Reliance Jio 1Gbps broadband service launching soon in India

reliance-jio-1gbps-broadband-serviceReliance Jio is gearing up for the launch of its 1Gbps broadband service in India. Reliance, the telecom company which had changed how we use Internet on Mobile in last few months is coming up with its broadband service soon in India.

This New service will kill the broadband/Cable and DTH market in India. It will be a all in One pack, internet, Cable TV and Phone in offer. This is same like what Starhub and Singtel do it in Singapore. They offer 1Gbps fiber broadband service for as low as S$34/month (Rs.1625/month) for unlimited 1Gbps internet connection. If Reliance Jio also comes up these kind of plans and pricing then its going to kill all the competition in this broadband space.

The new service of Reliance Jio is known as Fiber To The Home (FTTH). Reliance has already laid down fibre optics cables across most of the country. You must have seen those huge machines putting down cables in the earth, those were early days of Jio. Or you may have seen those manholes that have 'RJIL' written on those. The possibility of 1Gbps speed opens so many doors to as many opportunities and New way of entertinment. With the 1Gbps broadband service connection, the customers will get a set-top box (For TV), an Android smartbox, which could be Nvidia Shield or something similar. And with such a speed it will promise 4K videos everywhere.

The set-top box for JioTV also works as a router. And it will be able to connect 44 devices at one time. The Jio TV service will offer 350 channels including about 50 in HD. The service will save all the TV content for seven days. No, the users won't have to worry about the storage. All these shows and films will be stored in a Jio servers.

So let's wait for Reliance Jio to launch this Fiber To The Home (FTTH) service in India,which will change the way people use internet in India. We will see a more advanced internet connection and technology in India soon.
