Reliance Jio 4G launch on Dec 27, 2015 – It’s confirmed!

Finally the waiting for Reliance Jio is over. It’s confirmed that Reliance Jio is going to launch their 4G service on Dec 27, 2015. The launch event will be hosted by actor Shah Rukh Khan on 27th December. There will be a performance by A R Rahman as part of the launch.

The company, on behalf of chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, sent invitations to all the employees to be part of RIL Jio launch .

Mukesh and Nita Ambani said in the mail: “We want every member of our family to participate wither in person or virtually through a Jio telecast beamed live to over 1000 locations across India,”

Actor Shah Rukh Khan will host the show while musician A R Rahman will perform. The launch will also mark founder Dhirubhai Ambani’s birthday on 28 th December. The event will be telecast across 1000 locations for live webcasts.

Reliance Jio is the only pan-India BWA license holder in the country. Jio recently started beta-testing its network, and is looking at mainly a VoLTE-based 4G rollout.

Now all eyes are on the features, services and the tariff of Reliance Jio Services. Let’s wait and see.

There are many reports which states, Data charges are 60% less then the current 4G rates in the country. 10 GB pack will cost around Rs.600. Currently other leading operators are charging around Rs.1400 for the same data pack.

Let’s wait and see Will Reliance Jio can do a Digital revolution in India, the same way they had done it for Mobile in India with Reliance India Mobile (RIM CDMA Service) in 2003.
