Reliance Jio to Launch 4G phones this Month

Reliance Jio is coming up with 4G Phones this month, before the launch of their much awaited 4G Service. The phone will be retailed by Reliance Retail, the retail arm of business conglomerate Reliance Industries. They are launching 4 smartphone series which are 4G enabled later this month, priced in the range of Rs.4,000-25,000. In order to support the roll out of the much-awaited 4G mobile phone services through its telecom arm Reliance Jio, the company is in the process of training thousands of retail partners to support it in anticipation of huge demand.

Mukesh Ambani-promoted Reliance Industriess subsidiary is also scouting for opportunities to partner with leading e-commerce firms like Amazon, eBay, Flipkart and Snapdeal to push its ‘Earth’, ‘Water’, ‘Wind’ and ‘Fire’ series of phones according to our reliable sources.

Now a days, Online is the best Retail source. Many Chinese Mobile companies had proved the same in India, by selling their phones only through online shopping sites.

The super-premium variant ‘Earth 1’ and premium variants ‘Water 1’, ‘Water 2’ and ‘Water 3’ smartphones will be launched in the first phase according to the spokesperson of the company. These devices will soon be available at multi-brand outlets and Reliance Retail stores.

In the next phase, the company will introduce its ‘Wind’ and ‘Fire’ series of smartphones. All 4G-VoLTE devices will be in the price band of Rs 4,000-25,000.

4G telecom services company, Reliance Jio Infocomm is a fully-owned of Mukesh Ambani-promoted Reliance Industries. Apart from support from other vendors like Lenovo, LG, Micromax and Intex, the company is leveraging Reliance Retail to sell the company’s LYF-branded Voice of LTE (VoLTE)-based devices.

“LYF will offer a wide range of true 4G smartphones – from premium to affordable segment— and will reach consumers across the country through one of the widest distribution and retail network for smartphones,” the spokesperson said.

The company has brought on board 1,200 distributors and will start shipping its devices. Reliance Retail will be the principal distributor and retailer of LYF-branded handsets.

It is expected that the number of trade channel partners will go up to 150,000 by the end of this financial year from existing 30,000 trade channel partners who are getting trained by the company to support the rollout of the 4G services.
