Xiaomi launched Yi Action Camera 2 with 4K support

Xiaomi launched Yi Action Camera 2 with 4K support in China for RMB 1199 (approx Rs.12,200).

In terms of Specification and features, Xiaomi Yi Action Camera 2 is using SONY IMX377 sensor with a 12MP resolution and f/2.8 aperture and sports a 2.19 inch screen. YI 4K action camera comes with EIS (electronic image stabilization) and can shoot 4K videos. Xiaomi Yi Action Camera 2 supports wide angle 155 degree and can shoot 4K videos @ 30ps, Full HD videos @ 120fps and 720p videos @ 240 fps.

The new Yi Action Camera 2 has been priced at roughly Rs. 12,000. Xiaomi Yi Action Camera 2 will be competing against the GoPro Hero 4. The new action camera from Xiaomi is available only in China. If you want to buy one then you need to buy it from China.

One of the highlights of the new Yi Action Camera 2 packs 1400mAh battery which is claimed to offer more battery life than GoPro Hero 4. The company touted that the new Yi Action Camera can record for up to 2 hours of continuous video recording. It comes with microSD card slot and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

Last year Xiaomi launched Yi Action Camera priced at dirt cheap CNY 399 (approx Rs.3,900). This Camera is also not available officially in India.
