Motorola Signature 27 launched at $1,599 with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12,000-nit display

The Motorola Signature 27 is official. Motorola launched the handset in select global markets on Thursday at $1,599, with worldwide sales through the company’s own website set for the coming days. It is the firm’s first full-fledged non-foldable flagship, and Motorola, a Lenovo company, is pitching it as its most advanced flagship smartphone yet. The phone was first teased back in September at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit.

The spec sheet reads like an extreme build. The Motorola Signature 27 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, paired with Android 17. Its Tandem OLED panel is rated at a peak brightness of 12,000 nits, which Motorola calls the brightest display available in a smartphone. The camera hardware is led by a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and the phone packs a first dedicated action sensor in any smartphone. Audio is tuned by Bang & Olufsen, a name that hasn’t previously appeared on phone audio.

A hands-on video released ahead of the launch shows the design and the display close-up. It confirms the India launch is locked in for this month, matching Motorola’s earlier teasers in the country that had promised a broad November window without pinning down a date.

Gemini inside

The handset carries Google’s Gemini intelligence as a headline feature. Two specific software features are named: Create My Widget and Gboard Rambler. Both were confined to Pixel devices, and their inclusion here marks Gemini’s expansion beyond that line, according to the launch coverage. Motorola describes its software work on the phone as next-generation agentic AI.

When it lands

The dates differ by outlet. FoneArena reports the Motorola Signature 27 is set for release on November 5. GSMArena reports Motorola has confirmed the phone’s exact launch date, while NewsBytes pegs the Gemini-integrated version for a November 19 arrival. Gizmochina’s roundup of phones landing in November 2026 also lists the handset. Coverage of the $1,599 price, which some reports round to $1,600, says the phone bundles every ultra-level feature Motorola has into one chassis in an attempt to make a big impression at that level.

What happens next is concrete rather than speculative. Global sales open on Motorola’s website in the days ahead, Indian availability follows this month, and November 5 and November 19 are the two dates to circle on a calendar.
