As reported earlier Reliance Jio is planning to do a soft launch by first week of April 2016.
In soft launch period, customers would be able to pick up a Reliance Jio SIM card for ??Rs.200 (other mobile operators charge Rs.10 - Rs.50 for new SIM cards), which should come with free data and voice valid for three months.? ?The free usage offered to employees in the December launch was 75 GB data and 4500 mins calls. The employees we asked to use the full data and free calls before it expires, this will help Reliance Jio to stabilize their network.
Reliance Digital stores had already received the Jio SIM cards and devices which includes LYF Smartphones and Mi-Fi device. The company has already started selling LYF smartphones across stores and the customers buying LYF smartphones will be getting the SIM card on 1st April, 2016. The bundled SIM cards will come with preloaded data and voice minutes.

After submitting the KYC documents the SIM card will be activated in just 4 hours, thanks to new technology. Currently other mobile operators take more than 24 hours to activate a New SIM card.
Reliance Jio Mi-Fi device � priced Rs. 700 to Rs. 800 and will be coming with 40 GB data for 3 months and post the usage you can top up the Mi-Fi device with packs ranging from 40 GB to 200 GB with 90 days validity. (Recharge details are still unknown)
Unlimited calling packs are also available which are priced at Rs.30 to Rs.35/month (Not sure this includes National calls or only on-net calls are unlimited)
Friends and Family plans are available with a basic plan starting from Rs.37/month (this is much cheaper then the other operators who provide the similar plans)
