Author Introduces The Procurator Fiscal: A Mystery Thriller

Online PR News – 10-January-2018 – How far can a persons detriments and struggles take him? To what scope of his personal life can he give up in order to accomplish something he had worked so hard for? Author Viktoria King ripostes with a compelling mystery thriller novel, The Procurator Fiscal.

The Procurator Fiscal introduces the character of Lieb Canavan, a Procurator Fiscal (coroner) in Scotland who is married to Rose. The first separation occurs to the married couple as Rose prepares to visit her sister Heather, who recently gave birth to her first child. Her visitation sets her apart from Lieb as his work demands his full time and attention.

Another day with the same routine, Lieb gets a call requesting him to report to work as another body has been found in a blue barrel, showing a distinctive WB insignia on the side. He meets with Senior Inspector Marcus Campbell, and the case takes on a life of its own, filling in the empty time while his wife Rose is away. The investigation goes on until it takes another turn when Marcus gets partnered with Senior Inspector Grace Scott and his many protestations of being a career bachelor crash in around him. On another note, main man Lieb lands on another case, one that is too far too close to home and one that will earn him the nickname The Iceman.

Kings piece of work evidently describes the kind of life that the people working within law enforcement live. It uncloaks the danger, the trouble, and even the roller coaster of emotions as their personal lives eventually get involved and dragged into their cases as well as when the time comes for them to break the bad news to the family members of the victims. While the book highlights the struggles encountered by each of the characters, it also discloses the success that they attain as they get to resolve every case that they land on. Viktoria Kings novel is definitely one of the few sources that will make the readers ask for more as they flip every page. It is undeniably hard to put down!

About the Author:
Viktoria King comes from another Perth, this one is Australia: but with a family connection to Scotland. Well bitten by the travel bug, I’ve been travelling since 1988 and, an opportunity to live & work in Singapore, then the UK and Canada gave me every chance to travel every weekend: sometimes 10 mile for a few hours; sometimes thousands of miles for weeks at a time. Six years living in England provided me time to explore & connect to my Scottish homeland; so it felt right to base my fictional characters there. My husband is my travel companion and our son James is the photo on the covers.
