BSNL 20GB 3G Data for Rs.50 is a Fake News

Last week there were plenty of post on social media and many news sites claiming that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BNSL) is beating every other operator out there by launching a plan that gives its customers an unbelievable 20GB of 3G data for just Rs 50.

Many bloggers and sites even went on to claim that the 20GB of data was actually subsidized thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Digital India’ initiative. Adding to that was something more unrealistic, that the plan could also be shared among five friends (any where in India) with the other four using the data for free.

Times of India confirmed from an official source pointing out that “BSNL has not officially declared any offer like 20GB 3G data for Rs 50 and neither does the company intends to do so.”. Putting all rumours to rest.

Many BSNL users were Happy on reading this news, many users had already picked a New BSNL 3G SIM card also.
