Freedom 251 confirms the delivery of Smartphone will start from June 28, 2016

Hope you guys still remember “Freedom 251” which surprised the tech world by launching a Smartphone for just Rs.251 in India. There were many cases also filed against the company (Ringing Bells) after they announce Freedom 251 smartphone which will be sold for just Rs.251. The company later ran into many controversy after the smartphone launch, and today the company claims that they will start the delivery of the handsets to customers starting from 28th June, 2016. In the launch event, the company had promised the handset delivery by June 30th, 2016 to the users.

Deliveries will start to customers who have registered for buying the phone, Noida-based company’s director Mohit Goel said. “We will start shipment of Freedom251 from June 28 to customers who paid for it earlier on COD (cash-on-delivery) basis,” he told .

The Freedom 251 was launched in early 2016 (February), This is the world’s cheapest Smartphone. The official website of the company ringingbells.co.in and freedom251.com crashed during two-day sale due to huge response from prospective buyers. The company had claimed that around 30,000 customers had booked the phone despite the glitch.

Later company had paid all the amount collected from the buyers and announced the cash on delivery (COD) for all orders. Hope users who booked the Freedom 251 will receive their handsets from June 28th, 2016.
