Ghaziabad Police Outpost Blast Injures Delivery Worker; ATS and Special Cell Join Probe

A 20-year-old food delivery worker was injured after a sudden explosion occurred at the Vasundhara police outpost in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram locality, shattering glass windows and causing visible damage to air conditioning units installed at the facility.

The delivery worker, identified as Vishal, sustained injuries after a sharp piece of shattered glass struck his head immediately following the blast. Emergency personnel rushed to the spot and evacuated him to a private hospital in Delhi, where attending doctors reported that his condition is currently stable. The unexpected explosion inside the Vasundhara chowki triggered an immediate security alert across Ghaziabad, with senior police officers securing the perimeter around the outpost to preserve physical evidence and examine video footage recorded at the scene.

Multi-Agency Squads Launch Investigation Into Outpost Blast

A multi-agency investigation commenced shortly after the explosion at the police outpost. Units from the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), a bomb disposal team, and state forensic experts established an operational perimeter at the site to inspect structural damage and collect chemical samples. A specialized team from the Delhi Police Special Cell also arrived at the Vasundhara police outpost to assist Ghaziabad police officers in gathering evidence.

Providing details on the inquiry, Indirapuram Assistant Commissioner of Police Suryabali Maurya stated that the exact nature of the object that caused the explosion would be determined after a full technical evaluation by forensic specialists. Top police officials confirmed that all potential angles are actively being probed by law enforcement, ranging from equipment failure to a possible terror angle.

The multi-agency probe took on added urgency after a post began circulating on social media claiming responsibility for the incident. The viral post was published by an obscure group identifying itself as ‘Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan’. Technical analysts and cyber crime experts are currently verifying the authenticity of the post to establish its origin, while bomb disposal technicians examine shattered glass, damaged AC units, and debris collected from the Vasundhara police post.

Diwali Construction Site Collapse in Sikri Village

The explosion at the Vasundhara police outpost follows another severe emergency operation conducted by rescue personnel in Ghaziabad over the festive period. On Diwali, a concrete slab collapsed at a construction site situated in Sikri village, resulting in the tragic death of one worker and causing injuries to five others working at the location.

Disaster management teams, including rescue crews from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), executed a joint emergency operation at the Sikri village site. NDRF and SDRF personnel successfully extracted all six victims from under the collapsed concrete slab, ensuring everyone was pulled out before transferring the five injured survivors to nearby healthcare facilities.

Police authorities in Ghaziabad are awaiting preliminary laboratory results from forensic experts and bomb disposal teams to establish the exact material or mechanical cause behind the Vasundhara outpost explosion.
