You can apply for an Indian passport online by following these steps:
- Visit the official Passport Seva website (https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink).
- Click on "New User Registration" to create a new account. If you already have an account, log in with your credentials.
- Once you are logged in, click on "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport."
- Select the type of application you want to submit (fresh passport or re-issue of passport) and click on "Next."
- Fill in the required details in the application form, including your personal details, contact information, and family details.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph and supporting documents, such as proof of address and proof of date of birth.
- Pay the passport application fee using one of the available payment methods, such as credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- Once you have completed the application and payment process, schedule an appointment at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Passport Office.
- On the day of your appointment, visit the PSK or Passport Office with all the required documents, including the printout of the application form, supporting documents, and payment receipt.
