Oppo new technology claims it can charge a phone in 15 minutes

OPPO, one of the leading Mobile manufacture in China claims that they had invented a newSuper VOOC Battery Technology which can charge a Phone in just 15 mins. The “Super VOOC Flash Charge” technology was unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Tuesday.

It uses a low-voltage 5V pulse-charge algorithm to keep the charge at low temperatures, and can fill a 2500mAh battery in a quarter of an hour, according to the company.

The Chinese smartphone maker also said that Super VOOC Flash Charge is perfectly safe, allowing users to use the phone while it is charging (such as watching a video or playing a game, the company specifies, seemingly warning against making phone calls). It says other quick charge technologies don’t recommend this usage scenario to users.

“With our commitment to equipping consumers with the best technology, OPPO invests great efforts in technological innovation,” said Mr. Sky Li, OPPO Global Vice-President, Managing Director of International Mobile Business and President of OPPO India.

“We are excited to share these breakthrough technologies with the world at MWC 2016 – they’re the result of our commitment to listening to consumers and valuing their feedback to create more delightful user experiences for them in the future.”
