Sergei Tokarev: Lucky Labs Has Released a Book on Ecology Written by Ukrainian Children

A book about garbage was presented at the largest exhibition in Ukraine Book Arsenal 2019.

Kyiv, Ukraine, May 27, 2019 –(PR.com)– As part of a charity publishing project by the IT company Lucky Labs, a book for teenagers about one of the most serious environmental problems of our time was published in Ukraine. It concerned garbage. The special feature of the book is that it was written by Ukrainian schoolchildren in collaboration with the writer Galyna Tkachuk.

“The idea of this book appeared more than a year ago. Galyna Tkachuk and I conducted a workshop for schoolchildren on writing children’s popular science books. For a month of fruitful collaboration with adolescents, we were looking for a burning issue that worried them. We discussed and outlined problems and solutions,” Lucky Labs founder Sergei Tokarev says. “Over the year, the results of our work were structured and formed into a full-fledged book for teenagers, written by teenagers themselves, along with Galyna Tkachuk.”

The co-authors of the writer were eight Kyiv schoolchildren; Oleksandra Goma, Sergiy Kolyadych, Anna Tereshchuk, Anastasia Sakhno, Karina Parkhomenko, Mykyta Subotovsky, Anna Berezovska and Andriy Dobrovolsky.

“During the workshop, the children learned to write, edit and illustrate books. Together with Galyna Tkachuk they chose ecology as the main theme. In the process, they narrowed the direction to the problem of garbage,” says Sergei Tokarev.

The book was presented at the largest book exhibition in Ukraine – Book Arsenal 2019. The IT company Lucky Labs has been publishing and distributing free of charge non-fiction literature for teenagers for two years now. Sergei Tokarev says that at the moment this is the largest charitable project of the company. For two years, Lucky Labs has donated more than 5,000 books to more than 200 children’s libraries throughout Ukraine. “Book about Garbage” will also soon replenish the country’s library collections.

Lucky Labs develops software products for marketing, gaming and financial industries. The company’s portfolio includes more than 100 mobile and desktop applications. The company sells its products on the western market and in the Asian countries. Today, 950 people work in the Ukrainian offices of Lucky Labs.
