Bravehoods Hoodies were created by Allison Yacht, when her daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma. “She put up with so much, all with a sunny attitude and hardly a complaint. But there was one thing that did bother her,” says Yacht. “The thing that bothered her the most was the loss of her hair.” They tried wigs, hats, scarves and nothing was right. When they came across the hoodies they were perfect and let her be a regular kid. They talked to other parent and found that other children felt the same way. They created a series of hoodie designs that have a message of hope and resilience for families affected by children with cancer.

So far they have distributed over 3,000 hoodies with recent donations to Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI and their next shipments are off to Children’s Colorado and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
